Job Description

The Senior BizOps Manager (BOM) will play a key role in building out and optimizing various functions for the operations team. The BOM is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing processes that support the efficiency and effectiveness of activities within our tech-enabled property & asset management platform. Repair and Maintenance department, and other cross functional teams. This role will enhance the process, operationalizing the standards, quality control, training and strategic partnerships to ensure residents benefit from industry leading property services. The BOM will collaborate with various departments to identify process gaps, standardize workflows, and achieve business objectives for a rapidly expanding portfolio of Single Family Rental (SFR) assets. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Analyze current processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop, document, and implement standardized workflows to increase efficiency for the R&M team, with a goal to ensure work orders and service requests are completed on time. 
  • Design and monitor KPIs to evaluate process performance and outcomes including response times, resident satisfaction, efficiency of R&M teams
  • Work with leadership, property managers, and internal Construction team to build an effective Service Department structured to excel at the MSA level and efficiently scale nationally
  • Manage project timelines, allocate resources, and track deliverables to ensure successful implementation and execution of new initiatives and work.
  • Design and update workflows for both internal stakeholders and 3rd party vendors
  • Create connective tissue with the Turn & Renos coordination team to ensure our dispatching function is the most efficient, effective and well documented in the industry
  • Work cross functionally with leadership, product and engineering teams to muscle up technology strategy focused on building the most efficient Property Services function in SFR investment management / proptech
  • Generate reports for leadership, showcasing trends, progress and recommendations for change or improvement. 
  • Conduct root analyses of process issues and implement corrective actions as needed 
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within operations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field. MBA is highly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in operational process management or a similar role in PropTech, Smart Building, Contech, Construction and Development and/or Real Estate,  with at least 5 years within a Single Family Rental (SFR) investment firm
  • Established track record of scaling a national Property Services (or similar) team both in market and at Portfolio and Regional level
  • Results oriented P&L management with a focus on driving revenue and improving margins by bringing cost effective solutions to a growing business
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills with high attention to detail and ability to lead multiple projects concurrently
  • Self-starter with eagerness to take ownership and independently drive projects to completion
  • Experience in residential real estate, SFR and/or data analytics strongly preferred
